Future Home

That's right, we found a home - Woohoo!! How excited am I!!! It's not quite ready yet but will be in the next couple of months, at least we hope so. Hopefully everything will pan out as it should.
Hope everyone is having a great week!

Happy Memorial Day!!

Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend!! Took Emery to the University Club to try out her new skills....well, not so much. The water was cold and cloudy, I didn't even want to be in it. I did get her to swim to Grandma several times but that's about it. She shivered the rest of time. Maybe next time will be better. Have a GREAT week!!

Swim Video

Emery had her final swim lesson Friday morning. She continues to cry/whine A LOT (as you can tell from the footage) but I must say, I am impressed with the results. She can swim now!! Woohoo! We'll probably put her in one more session in a month or so but overall, I'm really glad she was able to take the class. Our DVD footage is much better but this one isn't too bad. Enjoy and have a GREAT Memorial Day weekend!!

Swim Lessons

Emery had her first day of swim lessons this morning through Palmetto Aquatics. It's only a week long but I've heard about the great results in the end so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. She yelled my name for about the first 10 mins., then she realized I wasn't going to get in the pool, just clap and wave nicely from a distance and so she calmed down. I must say, I was impressed by the end of the lesson. I'll take my camera on Friday and hopefully download it on here. We'll see. Took a picture of Emery enjoying some cheap fun - nothing like running through a sprinkler. Hope everyone has a great week!!

Happy Mother's Day!!

Hope everyone had a Happy Mother's Day - I sure did. I recevied some great cards in the mail - THANK YOU everyone for thinking of me. I took several pictures of Rob and Mark preparing our Mother's Day dinner Saturday evening - lasagna! Good stuff. I also had a nice Mother's Day breakfast - cinnamon rolls. After breakfast, Emery brought a card to me and said, "Happy Family"...lol. She meant to say, "Happy Mother's Day". Too cute. I incluced a couple of pictures of Emery - reading a magazine (really just looking at pictures) while on the road and playing on the indoor playground at Concord Mills. Again, hope everyone had a great weekend!

Temple Picnic

Ginger invited Emery and myself to join her and the boys for a picnic at the Columbia Temple. We thought it might rain but lucked out. We tried to teach the kids about being reverent on the Temple grounds then Emery hauls off and hits Spencer in the ear with a stick, draws blood and all. So much for that lesson. All in all, it was wonderful! Hope everyone is having a great week!

Family Home Evening

We had our monthly Family Home Evening with everyone last night. The topic was "Thrift & Industry", one of the 10 topics spoken about in the book "Standing For Something" by President Gordon B. Hinckley. Great book with great ideas. It's hard to channel some of the lessons for children but we do the best we can. Afterwards, the kids played outside and we all enjoyed ice cream sundaes. THANKS to everyone for coming!! Happy Monday!

Car Wash

Nice, hot day to get outside - weed the garden, wash the car, wash Emery, etc. You know, the usual. Emery likes the idea of "no clothes" - hmmm, wonder who she got that from. j/k. I normally don't mind the idea of her wearing just a diaper outside in the yard (neighbors aren't close enough to see our "white trash" kid) but the no clothes idea is pushing it. She stripped all the way down and hopped in the car wash bucket. That cannot be healthy. Happy Thursday!

Soccer Tots

Took Emery to her first "Soccer Tots" class today and I must say, things went really well. Rob and I debated whether or not we would be wasting our money - Would she cry the entire time? Would she shy away? Would she fight with me not to play? Ah, but no, she actually participated and played well. They ran some, kicked the soccer ball back and forth, ran while kicking the soccer ball, did an obstacle course and played, "catch the hula hoop". I hope the enthusiasm continues. Hope everyone is having a GREAT week!!
