This and That

Our weekly Library trips are always a success for Riggs.  It works out perfect - we grab books at the library then read them all while waiting on Em during piano.
Klein gives the best kisses.  ;)  Notice his bracelet and stamp.  Just another successful day at the Y (gym).
Cheese!
More cheese!
Excited for Waffle Wednesday.  And maybe the homemade cookies in the background.  At least that's what I was excited for.

Soccer

After much discussion, Riggs decided to play soccer again. For a while, he was adamant about not playing and we were fine with that. We had found something else he might like but he changed his mind and said he would play. He does really well, even scored 2 goals during the first game of the season. It's just not his "favorite" thing to do, at least that's what he says. ;)

Happy St.Patrick's Day!

I've become the mom who feels the need to celebrate every holiday. Yeah, I know. Here's to hoping I spend the rest of the days teaching them that "the world does not revolve around you", only I do. Which in all seriousness is the case at this age. ;) Happy St.Paddy's Day!!
A Leprechaun Trap - an idea by Emery which was very well executed.

Leprechaun goodies.  ;)

Apparently Leprechaun's like Lucky Charms, saltine crackers, money, old Valentine chocolate, Hawaiian Punch jelly beans, gum, smarties, and weeds out of the yard.  I do believe Em made the trap and Riggs and Klein filled it.

St.Patrick Day treats.

A surprise from our Leprechaun visitor.  And of course they were hesitant to drink the milk.

School Stuff

The past few weeks have been filled with school stuff - volunteer lunch helper (lunch with Em), Curriculum Night, and a Student Led Conference with Em. It's so nice to be able to attend these things. Well, except when Riggs begs me not to attend a field trip with him. That's not nice but I follow his wishes. ;)
Klein was so excited to eat lunch with Em at school.
I dropped in at Riggs' table to say hello.  His friends were more excited to see me than he was.  What's up with that?!
Indoor recess.  Seems like we've been living in a rainforest lately.
Curriculum Night in Riggs' class.
Waiting for Em's Student Led Conference.  She did an excellent job.  :)

Unfortunate

Two weeks ago, during Em's soccer game around 1230 in the afternoon, someone deiced they needed my purse, 2 gym bags, and 17 library books out of my car. They also needed the stuff out of 8 other cars in the same parking lot, along with 19 other cars in the area. Bummer. I took a picture of the parking lot - it was busy but no one saw this happen (I took pics of all the cars and people on the soccer fields to show how many people were there). Then again, we have been told these guys are literally professionals at this. It's what they do, how they make a living. So this wasn't necessarily one of our best experiences but we did learn from it. I no longer leave a single item in the front seat. Not one. Like I said, they didn't just grab my purse. It wasn't even visible. It was under 2 gym bags and a large bag of library books. They just saw bags grabbed everything on the floor board. Lesson learned. Just an aggravating way of learning it. I told the kids the criminals needed books to read to their children and money to feed them as well. Em didn't believe me. ;) I told her I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and explained to her it's our job to forgive. She said she would...."one day". That made me laugh.

First Primary Talk

Klein had his first Primary talk on Sunday. Well, actually he was assigned to do the scripture and prayer. He recited by memory the First Article of Faith. He mumbled some of it but for the most part, I think he did fairly well. At the end of Primary, for closing prayer, he was sure to include being thankful for chairs and doors. Never really thought about it but I guess I am too. ;) Good job Klein!

This and That

Nothing exciting. Just a few pics I want for the blog book.  Obviously, I'm a fan of sleeping pics. ;)
That looks like some good sleep.
Finishing up her book while waiting for the dentist.  She looks older in this pic to me.  Please stay little.  ;)
Selfie.
Friday night = sleep where ever you want night.  Rob joined in on it too.  ;)
More sleepy heads.  This was Saturday night while watching a movie.  Klein is usually looking to be by Riggs.  Riggs is a good sport...most of the time.

Soccer

Spring soccer is upon us. Em had her first game yesterday. She is on the same team as last year, 10 and under, coed. Rob is also helping to coach again. Not a fan of her being the youngest again but she plays well, considering her size. She said a boy on the other team was telling her to get the ball and said, "You get it little girl." She said she didn't say anything back but thought to herself, who's he calling little?! lol. I totally laughed when she told me the story. She's tough. Hoping this season goes well for her. They tied yesterday 3-3. Go Galaxy!
