Happy Halloween

Our Halloween fun began Saturday night at our ward Fall Festival. The kids had a GREAT time. Anytime Em gets to wear make-up out in public, Riggs gets to carry handcuffs and Klein gets to act poorly and get away with it (all because of a costume), then there is certainly fun to be had. They are excited to do it all again on Wednesday night...and so are we! We are in love with our very own Spanish Dancer, Police Officer and Prisoner. ;)

Pumpkin Patch

The little ones had a half day of school on Tuesday so Rob picked up Em from school and we headed to the pumpkin patch. It was GREAT!! There was no crowd so we were able to go and do everything without the hassle. We enjoyed a hayride to the patch, roamed the fields to pick our 8 pumpkins (yeah 8, I have no idea why we need 8 pumpkins) then enjoyed ice cream and a walk through the car museum. Once again, the pictures are all out of order - blogger is messing with me but you get the gist. Up next, carving for FHE!

Sunday Snuggles

Our Sundays have gotten soooo much better since a year ago. We have fallen into a routine and I am a creature of habit, big time. This is what we looked like when Rob got home. We were happy to hold our pose for him. Notice Em's foot on Klein's face. Yeah, nothing says love like a foot on the face. We lounge until he gets home, usually a couple of hours after us. It was only fair to get a pic of him when he walked in. Yeah, he was jealous of me. ;) I don't blame him. I would be jealous of me too. I love our time after (and during) church on Sundays. There is nothing like a bed full of snuggling babies.

Happy Birthday Mom

We celebrated Mom's 63rd Birthday on Monday night! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!! :)

Piano

Emery started piano lessons last week. We're excited but I must admit, not too excited. I never liked piano so I'm hoping she is NOT like me. Who am I kidding, she is JUST LIKE ME, except for her taste buds, those are Rob's. I have never been in denial about my little mini me but I'm hoping that maybe, just maybe, she'll like piano. BTW - like the piano that is missing a bench?? It was free so we're not complaining. I guess I better find a bench soon.

ALL Boy

I guess this is what you look like after a day hard at play. For the record, Riggs would never get this dirty. Not to say Riggs isn't "all boy" but he definitely isn't an "all dirty boy". We love Kleiny Boo Boos, dirt and all!

I would be in a lot better shape....

if I ate like my kids. Per their request, Emery took a salad for lunch and Riggs wanted apples and strawberries. WHAT?! Are these really our kids?!? Where's the chocolate?

Birthday

I turned 33 years old on Thursday - woohoo!! I had a really good day! When I picked up Riggs from preschool, Rob had ordered a cake from Shannon so they all sang "Happy Birthday" to me. Her cakes are delish - extra frosting, just for me. :) Rob was home by lunch time so after we picked Em up from school we all headed to an early dinner. After dinner, we had cake and ice cream then mom came over to watch the little ones so we could go to the temple. She also brought my birthday gift which was a Kindle Fire. NICE. Thanks mom and dad! It's already a big hit around here - Em and Riggs always want to play on it. All around awesome day. I am extremely grateful for such a great family and great blessings in my 33 years!

Boiled Peanuts

Rob first visited the south in 1999. To say he didn't like boiled peanuts would be an understatement. He despised them. He said, "They taste like peanuts that someone has already sucked on." Ha. Well, what do you know - here we are 13 years later (lol) and it was his idea to buy peanuts and boil them all on his own. They turned out a little salty but for the most part, were pretty good. The first batch was gone before the end of the night. I think he may be on to something... :)
