Dying Eggs

Notice I have split up all of our Easter weekend. I thought the slide show would be a little long. Besides, this way I have something to blog about.

I guess these pictures can speak for themselves. The girls enjoyed dying eggs almost as much as the parents did.
THE END (of our Easter weekend - I know you're relieved).

Easter Dinner

Yes, a little late on posting once again but better late than never.
Mom cooked a wonderful Easter feast for the fam. We ate all day long. Probably why I still have some baby weight to lose but that's just a shot in the dark.

Blessing Riggs

On Easter Sunday, we had the priviledge of blessing Riggs. THANK YOU Aunt Sandra for the beautiful smocked outfit. Riggs was nice and calm (for the most part) during his blessing, unlike his sister. It was wonderful! And thank you to Stephanie for helping me to remember for years to come. I truly am one blessed mother.

May God grant you many years to live,
For sure He must be knowing
The earth has angels all too few
And Heaven is overflowing.

Easter Morning

Emery was excited to see her basket Easter morning. She carried it into our bedroom and said, "Look what Grandma brought me!" Give me some credit here. You can obviously tell who gives her all the fun stuff. I think she was even more excited to plunder through Riggs' basket. Poor little guy doesn't stand a chance right now. :)

BBQ

While most of Rob's family was in town, my parents hosted a BBQ complete with smores and all. THANKS mom and dad! I do believe we all enjoyed it.

Easter Party

Took Emery and her cousins to the Easter Party at church last Saturday. They all participated in the egg toss, egg relay and sack race. I think they had a good time. The weather sure was nice and warm (sorry TaMara). I'm slowly posting Easter events - more to come!

vanity

Obviously we did not buy this shirt for him....his aunt did. Is there such thing as "vanity" at the age of 2 months anyway?! Nah.

2 Months

Riggs had his two month check up last week and passed with flying colors. Well, not that it's a pass or fail thing but the saying sounded good. Like the band aids?? Emery sure didn't. Five shots in all. Poor thing.

Not sure if you can see it or not but Riggs received his first bump from his loving big sister last week. She dropped a heavy object on his head (right above his right eye). Needless to say, right when she dropped it and saw what happened, she took off running to time out. Well, running from us, running to time out - same difference.

Can't you feel the love in the family?! Riggs' expression says it all.

Hope everyone had a good Easter. I'll post pictures of our GREAT weekend soon!

gators & guinea pigs

I love the title of this blog. All thanks to Ging and her gang! Emery loved riding on Spencer's birthday present - a gator and playing with "Snowball", his other birthday present. She is feeding Snowball an apple in the picture. He's a patient little guy because the word "gentle" is not completely in Emery's vocabulary.
Happy Wednesday!!

Baby Shower

A huge THANK YOU to Rob's coworkers for such a wonderful baby shower!! It was great!! Emery loves her new baby doll - she checks her heartbeat and gives her shots daily. THANKS again for the great food, great gifts and excellent company!! Not quite sure what Rob is doing around there to deserve so much....lol.

Grow an Easter Bunny

Aunt Molly brought Emery the cutest little Easter Bunny. As you can tell, Emery dismembered some of his body parts but he's still growing strong. We keep him in a cup in her tub and continue to check his progress daily. It's pretty neat. THANKS Aunt Molly! Happy (early) Easter!

Sleepy Head

Some people have requested more pictures of the little one. I agree. I haven't posted a lot because he's either sleeping, eating or crying and while the sleeping part is the cutest of the three things he's able to do, you can only see so many "sleeping" pictures before it gets old. I could post some of him crying but I'm a little too frazzled to get the camera at that point in time. He is starting to smile and coo now - super cute stuff so maybe I can catch him in the act for a good picture to post. We'll see.
Hope everyone is having a good week.

Playhouse Disney

Took Emery to see Playhouse Disney Friday afternoon and she loved it. It was suppose to be a "Daddy-Daughter" date but Rob sold her out. lol. I'm just kidding. He actually couldn't get away from the office so I gladly stepped in to save the day. Emery lit up when she saw Mickey Mouse, it was quite cute. I love her reaction when she gets excited about things. As a parent, I was excited for her. She told Rob all about it when we got home, then graciously thanked him for buying the tickets for her to go. lol.
Happy Monday!
