PJ Pants

So I/we finally put the sewing machine to use this past week. Emery has 2 pair of "hand-me-down" pajama pants she loves to wear. She's been wearing them for over a year now. They started out too big and needless to say they are way too small so mom picked up a pattern and some material and we started sewing. They certainly are not Cindy and Christy quality but these are meant to be worn in the privacy of our own home. lol. Your dresses are WONDERFUL!! I'm definitelty going to need more practice before she wears anything I make out in public.
Hope everyone is having a good week!!

Pool Party

Cate invited a few of us over to enjoy her parent's pool this afternoon. THANK YOU Cate, Mike & Yabby! Things certainly have changed over the years - we spent "many a summer days" in that pool when we were in high school. Where did the time go......lol. It was great to see everyone. Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROB!!!

Had the opportunity to celebrate Rob's Birthday all weekend long - he definitely deserved it!! Friday night we went out to Miyabi, a Japanese Steakhouse with Pam & Ryan (Happy Birthday to Pam too!). It tasted just like Masato's in Savannah and we love Masato's. Rob and Pam are SUPPOSE to be dancing in the one picture of them standing up. Pam finally broke it down towards the end of the song but Rob wouldn't budge. Saturday we spent the day in Myrtle Beach and attended a cousin's birthday party that evening. Sunday was more cake for Rob and tonight is the end of the celebrating with LHOP pepperoni pizza, his favorite. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROB!!
Hope everyone had a great weekend too!

Prayer Rock & Early Birthday

We held FHE last night and had a pretty big turn out. Wasn't quite expecting so many people but I was happy everyone came. The lesson was on prayer so all the kids made a "prayer rock" - a rock you keep on your pillow to remind you to pray at night, then you place it on the floor so when your feet touch it in the morning, you are reminded to kneel and say your morning prayers. Cheesy but very effective for a child, right?! It has a really cute poem to go along with it but I didn't memorize it and I do not happen to have it with me, just take my word for it.
To explain the picture of Rob standing - it's his birthday in a week and since we had so many visitors, we decided to sing "Happy Birthday" and have cake & ice cream for dessert. HAPPY (early) BIRTHDAY ROB!!
**Sorry for the blurry pictures - can't quite figure out how to work the new camera.

Random...

Well, I'm still slack at blogging because of access to a computer so this entry is full of random pictures.
Emery is in full swing when it comes to potty training, hence the picture of her dedicated father holding her behind our house. Just for the record, we're not the type of parents who just let their kids go where ever they want to go - Emery's bladder is the size of a pea, she ALWAYS has to go.
The fourth of July was relaxing. Emery & her Grandpa enjoyed a swim in her small pool. Believe it or not, Emery was in the pool with Grandpa at one point in time, then she got out and we just watched Grandpa enjoy the water. lol. A little crazy but entertaining.
The house is coming along good. It's going by a lot faster than I anticipated but that's a good thing. We're excited for the new move.
Lastly, Jason & Molly finally made it to SC. Not necessarily on time, but they made it. It was nice to see them again. They certainly are good to Emery - I'll have to post some pictures of her goodies.
I guess that's about all for us. Hope everyone has a good week!!

A new t-shirt....

Rob and I bought Emery a new t-shirt this past week. She has no idea what it means but I think everyone else does. LOL. The t-shirt will be "official" in January.
Happy Monday!!
