Preschool

So two nights ago I was sitting here around 9:30pm debating whether or not I should enroll Riggs in preschool (2 days a week from 9-12). I sent the director an email (via Facebook - HA) letting her know my thoughts and she responded within half an hour (now that's what I call service - THANKS Missy!). I was late in deciding because for starters, Riggs is NOT Emery. She was and is very independent. She needed the socialization. Riggs seems to be quite the opposite but I thought it would be good for him AND for me. The next morning I was on my way to the school for orientation. After orientation, we headed to the store to find a backpack. He requested Dora but that wasn't going to happen. He didn't even want Spiderman, Batman or Transformers. Once I showed him the green one, he was happy. I let him review his choices one more time and he still chose the green one. Good choice.
Riggs has the same teachers Emery had so dropping him off was MUCH easier. Just like Emery, he too enjoyed cookies when he got home from his first day at preschool. :)

First Day of Kindergarten

Hard to believe the day has arrived for our little Miss Emery to start Kindergarten. Just seems like yesterday we were in Savannah, bouncing this little girl around our small apartment, trying to get her to calm down and go to sleep. Not much has changed. lol. Rob and I were able to drop her off, meet her teacher, mingle for a few minutes then say our goodbyes. I didn't even shed a tear. She was prepared and ready to go. I was prepared and ready to send her. And just so you know, Rob was the one who was somewhat sad. He didn't cry but he was really close. :)
CONGRATS Emery on your first day of LOTS of school!! You're going to do wonderful!!

Less than a week...

The count down is on. Less than one week until Emery starts kindergarten. We are all excited. I'm trying to enjoy these last few days together - how could I not, especially these cute "silly" faces. ;)

First Bath

Gave Klein his first bath tonight. Now Riggs can quit pointing at his belly button and saying, "Ewww, gross." I love the smell of a freshly bathed baby. :)

10 Years

Yesterday Rob and I celebrated 10 years of marriage. We snapped a couple of pictures before church then enjoyed homemade peach ice cream and brownies with our family and friends later that evening. Happy Anniversary Rob!

Giddy Up!

I see I haven't posted in a while. That's because there is NOTHING going on. Literally. Not that I'm complaining but you know how it is with a newborn. We've stayed around the house the past couple of weeks. Thought I would post a picture of Klein enjoying his new cowboy blanket. THANKS Molly - it's super cute!

"Whenever I held my newborn baby in my arms, I used to think that what I said and did to him could have an influence not only on him but on all whom he met, not only for a day or a month or a year, but for all eternity - a very challenging and exciting thought for a mother." Rose Kennedy
